Terms
This is a beta
Ashtronomy Astro Studio is unfinished software provided free of charge, by invitation, for testing. It will contain defects. Features may change or be removed, and builds may be withdrawn.
Nothing is sold here and no payment is taken. If that changes in future, these terms will be updated and you will not be charged for anything without agreeing to it first.
Keep your own backups
Astro Studio processes your images on your own computer. Beta software can lose or corrupt data, so keep your original captures backed up separately and do not rely on this software as the only copy of anything you care about.
Your account
Access is by invitation and is personal to you. Please do not share your account or pass builds on to people who have not been invited — the beta is deliberately small so that problems can be found and fixed properly.
You can delete your account at any time from your account page.
Using the software
You may install and use Astro Studio on your own computers, within any limit shown on your account, for as long as your invitation stands. You may not redistribute it, sell it, or attempt to remove or work around the sign-in and access checks.
Images you produce with Astro Studio are entirely yours. No claim is made over your work.
Availability
There is no guarantee that this site or the software will be available at any particular time. Access may be suspended or withdrawn — for a specific account where these terms are being broken, or for everyone if the beta ends.
Your rights as a consumer
If you are a consumer in New Zealand, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 give you rights that these terms do not take away and cannot limit. Nothing here is intended to exclude those rights.
Beyond those rights, and to the extent the law allows: this software is provided as it is, without warranty, and I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost data, lost images or lost time — arising from its use.
Privacy
What is collected and why is set out in the privacy policy.
Changes
These terms may change as the software develops. The date at the top shows when they were last revised, and continuing to use Astro Studioafter a change means accepting the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
